How to Use
Follow these simple steps to check whether your TIN appears in the NBR 2023-24 audit selection list.
1
Wait for data to load. When you open the page, the full audit dataset loads
automatically. The status bar at the top will turn green and say "Ready" once the data is loaded.
This usually takes a few seconds depending on your connection.
2
Enter your TIN number. Tap or click the input box and type or paste your 12-digit TIN number.
On mobile, a numeric keyboard will appear. Spaces and dashes are automatically removed — you don't need to
format the number specially.
3
Press Search. Tap the Search button or press Enter on your keyboard. The result
appears immediately below the search box.
4
Read the result. See below for what each result means.
Understanding the Results
Not found (green) — Congratulations!
Your TIN does not appear in the NBR 2023-24 audit selection list. You have not been selected for audit based on
this data.
Found (orange) — Action may be required
Your TIN was found in the audit selection list. The full record details (zone, circle, submission type, assessment
year) are shown so you can verify this is your TIN. You should consult your tax advisor or contact your tax circle
office promptly.
Tips
- You can search multiple TINs one after another — the input clears automatically after each search.
- If a TIN appears more than once in the list, all matching records will be shown.
- This tool only checks exact TIN matches — partial numbers will not return results.
- Your entered TIN is never sent anywhere. All checks happen in your browser.
What If My TIN Is Found?
- Do not panic. Being selected for audit is a normal compliance process.
- Verify the details shown match your registered zone and circle.
- Contact a qualified tax consultant or chartered accountant as soon as possible.
- Gather your income tax returns, bank statements, and supporting documents.
- Follow up with your local NBR tax circle office for official instructions.
